I never understood why more products didn't copy the integrated GUI+command-line of
AutoCAD?. Even now, some ten years after I've stopped using it, I still sorely miss it. Can't remember the name or syntax of a command? Point and click, your command is done, and echoed to the CLI at the bottom for learning and reference. PAMAP, now defuntct, is the only GIS tool I've used which copied that approach. Too bad they never learned how to make it "always hot", necessitating an extra aggravating "point-first-ino-order-to-type" step.
